This show portrays the heart of a family. No matter the trials and tribulations each person faces, they always have each other. The show has plenty of humorous moments, and as we watch the characters face their problems and overcome them, we see the family come together. It’s realistically written, and the actors hit their punch lines spot on. The show presents the characters and their trials mockumentary style. The show’s downfall is the stereotypical characters: the “cool” dad, the rebellious daughter, the gay couple (one is flamboyant, the other isn’t), and the younger Latina wife. Every character is stereotypical. Even with the predictable character types, the show is humorous and has great storylines, which makes it worth a watch.
