Reign (CW) Rated TV-14

Mary, Queen of Scots, goes to France with her marriage agreement to Francis II in place. Starring Adelaide Kane, Megan Follows, and Celina Sinden.

The only true and historically accurate part of this show’s depiction of the life of Mary, Queen of Scots, is her marriage to Francis II. Everything else in the show is fake. For one, Francis never had a half-brother named Bash. So, the love triangle that the show tries to convey never happened. Also, Francis was rather sickly as a child, and Mary had been in France since she was three. I could go on and on about the historical inaccuracies of the show. I have to say that even with the inaccuracies, the show is quite intriguing. To enjoy the show, you’ll have to take it for what it’s worth instead of what it lacks. The acting is superb; the costumes are fantastic. Thhoppingng in and out of bed could be left out, but other than that, the show is worth a watch.
