All is Lost (2013) Rated PG-13

After a collision at sea, a sailor struggles for survival. Starring Robert Redford.

This film is about how all is lost when a seasoned sailor has a collision at sea. The ship is taking on water, and there is no way to communicate; he must use his resources to survive. The film is pretty accurate in what could happen at sea. Redford, of course, is brilliant as the only man to carry the film. There is a limit of dialogue as Redford is the only actor on screen, and the film doesn’t have too many intense scenes – you are mostly watching as the scenes unfold. It’s a film that is interesting to watch but also not as exceptional as expected. It’s still worth a watch.
