Adult World (2013) Rated R

A college graduate who believes she is destined to be a great poet is forced to work in an adult shop while being mentored by the reclusive writer, Rat Billings. Starring Emma Roberts, Summer Shelton, and Chris Riggi.

This film isn’t as bad as I thought; it’s about a girl whose naïvety and dreams force her to make decisions she doesn’t need to make. She isn’t just forced, but she pushes her way through her life to get what she thinks she needs. Although, the film has its good moments, reminders that she isn’t all that. She learns to make her own way in the world. It also has just as many moments that you wish weren’t there – smoking pot and the tenacity of forcing her will on others. This film isn’t worth a watch.
