Thor: The Dark World (2013) Rated PG-13

Dr. Jane Foster finds Aether after hundreds of years of it being hidden by the gods of Asgard. She becomes the host and is sent to Asgard before the Dark Elf Malekith can use her as a weapon. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston.

This is one Marvel film that leaves a lot to be desired. The script is all over the place. It doesn’t always make sense, but its main plot does sound interesting albeit a little too simple. Then you have multiple subplots that confuse and don’t make the plot any more compelling. To make the film more interesting, the script had some comical points, but they weren’t funny. Hiddleston, Hemsworth, and Portman continue to perform well, but with the crazy, lazy script, it is hard to follow. The film has its usual Marvel action and visual effects, and it continues to follow the Marvel Universe. Even though the film is confusing and making jokes, it still is worth a watch.
