A Good Woman (2004) Rated PG

Mrs. Erlynne, while undercover, saves Lady Windemere from making a mistake with Lord Darlington. Based on the play, Lady Windermere’s Fan by Oscar Wilde. Starring Helen Hunt, Scarlett Johansson, and Milena Vukotic.

This film was more of a letdown, but it is an underwhelmed flick. It has great cinematography, decent dialogue, and beautiful costumes. The acting is lackluster and flat, but I did enjoy the jovial Tom Wilkinson. The film is quintessential Oscar Wilde. It’s not the best rendition of the play, but it’s still enjoyable. There are some points along the way that don’t mash, but alas it is still worth a watch.
