Welcome to the Punch (2013) Rated R

When a criminal is forced to return to London, a detective believes it is his last chance to get the man who got away. Starring  James McAvoy, Mark Strong, and Andrea Riseborough.

Welcome to the Punch is a film that has more style than substance. The film has excellent cinematography, great acting, and a great story. What it doesn’t have is the essence to pull you into the story. It’s a depressing film that doesn’t have much to pull itself out the dark. The film has many twists and turns with a lot of action. It’s one of those films that you wished was better, but it just can’t seem to get there. It has its moments but not enough making it not worth a watch.
