I saw the Broadway show of this film a year before the film came out, which was brilliant. I thought the film held up to the Broadway show. The film has much more of the group’s story than the show, which focuses on the music. I wouldn’t say that the film doesn’t brilliantly combine the music to the story – it does. It really brings to life the music of The Four Seasons, but it also tells us how the songs came about. I thought the actors also brought the characters to life. The film holds up against the Broadway musical and is worth the watch.
