Magic in the Moonlight (2014) Rated PG-13

An Englishman is brought to a rich family to uncover a fake clairvoyant and mystic that has swindled the family. Starring Colin Firth, Antonia Clarke, and Natasha Andrews.

There is nothing really bad about this film. It is quintessential Woody Allen. I wish I had enjoyed this one more for the fact that Colin Firth and Emma Stone are in it. I just wasn’t really pulled into the story or into these characters’ lives. The chemistry between characters is also lacking. The film touches on whether we want to enjoy our delusions or be unhappy in the truth. It does have twists, but they still don’t pull me into the film. This is not worth a watch.
