Washington (2020) Rated TV-14

The story of a fatherless soldier who rose from a British loyalist to a General in the Continental Army to the President of the new country, the United States. Starring Jeff Daniels, Nicholas Rowe, and Nia Roberts.

This series tells the story of Washington, the making of a future President. We see him as a man, not as the myth. He was the man who shaped the start of America. Nicholas Rowe was brilliant as Washington, although, it’s still just a scratch on the surface of who Washington was and his job as a soldier. There are gaps and misinformation, like making him the only person who won the Revolutionary War. I’m still not sure why we had talking heads; some were knowledgeable, but others were annoying. This show does shine a little more light on who Washington was as a person, and it gives us the historical accounts of the birth of our nation, making it worth a watch.
