Allie gets fired from her job at a ritzy hotel and decides to take a temporary job as governess to a girl who lives in a European castle. Starring Danica McKellar, Rupert Penry-Jones, and Ellie Botterill.
This is one of those stories that we’ve seen before. We have a governess falling for her boss, and he just happens to be a king. Of course, it’s the typical plot with a child who doesn’t need a governess and doesn’t like her father’s girlfriend. It’s like a remake of The Sound of Music without the music, but it includes the Christmas season. However, it’s a cute film, and McKellar and Penry-Jones work well together. I just didn’t get the warm fuzzies. I don’t think the film is bad, but I don’t think it’s worth the watch either, making this film not worth a watch.
