Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012) Rated G

When Christmas spirit begins to disappear, the santa pups work to try and save Christmas. Starring Cheryl Ladd, Danny Woodburn, and Kaitlyn Maher.

This is one of those Christmas films made for children. It uses computer animation on the dogs’ faces to make it look like they are talking. I’m not fond of those films because the quality of computer animation doesn’t make it look real. The story with the humans is more enjoyable though, and this film surprised me as a musical. The musical bits are cute, but I’m not sure if the film needed them to tell the story. The story without the pups is good, but it doesn’t work without having them involved since they are the reason Christmas spirit is disappearing. The pups are there to learn a lesson. This film is cute and definitely family friendly but not worth a watch.
