A Christmas Melody (2015) Rated TV-G

A widowed mother returns home after the loss of her job, where upon she meets her childhood rival and their families try to show them the Christmas spirit. Starring Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott, and Kathy Najimy.

This film doesn’t have much going for it. The story is touched on in a lot of other holiday films. It also seems to be made as a beacon for Mariah Carey – it was a film to highlight her. I loved the soundtrack of traditional Christmas music, which is unusual. Most Christmas films fill the soundtrack with more updated holiday tunes. This one had the classics. My hats off to Lacey Chabert, who held her own against Mariah Carey. However, this film is not worth the watch.
