The Secrets We Keep (2020) Rated R

In post WWII America, a woman in suburbia kidnaps her neighbor in order to extract revenge for war crimes that he may have committed. Starring Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, and Chris Messina.

This film is interesting, and it makes you think of everyone who has experienced trauma and what they go through to try and heal from it. Although, it was hard to figure out whether or not the neighbor was actually the one that committed the crime or not. It felt more likely that she was on the crazy side than the idea of him as the criminal. So, the thriller part of the film wasn’t there. Due to the the fact that the film lacks in the thriller part, the ending was anticlimactic. However, this is intriguing, and the actors all hold your attention, making it worth a watch.
