This series looks at the childhood years of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Joseph Lee Anderson, and Ana Tuisila.
I was surprised they even greenlit this show. I know Dwayne Johnson is interesting, and I know he grew up in an interesting family dynamic, with his mixed heritage and his father’s wrestling history. What I don’t find interesting is the show. It was kind of a let down. There is nothing funny, and the actors are mostly ho-hum. I think a voice over might have helped with the telling of Johnson’s life, giving us an inside look into his thoughts. Most of the time we had to figure out where he was heading with the story or why we were hearing this story about his life. This show is not worth a watch.
