Assembly Required (History) Rated TV-PG

Home repair experts compete to rebuild everyday household items. Starring Tim Allen, Richard Karn, and April Wilkerson.

This game show tries to bring the fictional “Tool Time” to life. It had some difficulty in starting due to the Covid restrictions. The contestants do everything from home while Allen and Karn offer commentary from the studio. It’s not a bad show, but the chemistry between Allen and Karn needs worked, and the writing could be better. The only problem that I had was Wilkerson always popping up like the “Tool Time Girl.” It just seems out of place.  I actually think it works great that the inventors work from home rather than in the studio. It’s an odd mix for the type  of show they are trying to do. I think if it can hold on and clean it up a little, the show would be a hit, but alas, the show is not worth a watch.
