Jack Frost (1998) Rated PG

A father that breaks promises to his son dies in an accident; one year later he returns as a snowman to make things right for his son. Starring Michael Keaton, Kelly Preston, and Joseph Cross.

This is one of those crazy and silly family oriented films. It’s not bad, but it’s not a classic holiday film either. It’s a slow story that takes time to tell, and, at times, the film is unrealistic. I mean, really – having your dad return a year later as a snowman makes no sense. You also have potty humor that is out of place and makes the scenes uncomfortable. The acting isn’t the best, but that could be the bad script. Of course, the film has a feel-good ending. It’s a film that’s enjoyable for a first watch, but is not worth any subsequent watches.
