RoboCop (2014) Rated PG-13

In 2028 Detroit, a cop is injured on the job, and a business has figured out how to make a half human-half robot police officer. Starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, and Michael Keaton.

This film engages the concept of having robots take over our workforce. The story brings the conflict of whether or not robots that have a conscience should protect us. This film, more so than the original from 1987, has more action mixed with the story. The special effects are better than the original. However, this film, overall, falls short compared to its predecessor. I like Kinnaman, but this film seems too much for him to carry. It has a few moments of great action, but overall, it lacks charisma. This film is not worth a watch.
