SS-GB (BBC) Rated TV-MA

A British homicide detective investigates a murder in a German-occupied England in a parallel universe where the Nazis won World War II. Based on a novel by Len Deighton. Starring Sam Riley, James Cosmo, and Rainer Bock.

The BBC does a wonder at historical films and TV shows but fake historical shows, not so much. This show is dry and dull. We have fake external shots mixed with interior dialogue that is uninteresting. I have no idea if Archer is even doing any investigating or if they are just talking to hear themselves sound posh. The show seems to pride itself on its stylized substance, but it’s not entertaining enougg for it to be interesting. The plot sounds interesting, but you can’t seem to follow the story. This show is not worth a watch.
