Shameless (Netflix) Rated TV-MA

This series follows the lives and relationships of the Gallagher family in Manchester. Starring David Threlfall, Rebecca Atkinson, and Alice Barry.

This is the British version of the show Shameless. The Brits really do a wonderful job at comedy. While the two versions are almost identical during the first season, the writing of the Bristish version is better. The storyline is solid and realistic. The show covers everything from homosexuality and interracial relationships to debt and death all in the most realistic ways with comedy interspersed. The acting and casting in this version are more realistic than the plastic actors from Hollywood. The Brits are known for that – getting real people rather than gorgeous actors. It’s one of the best shows out there. It’s worth the watch.

I’ll state a disclaimer that it’s a European show that includes a number of sex scenes.
