Tower (2016) Rated TV-14

This film recalls the tragedy at the University of Texas clock tower on August 1, 1966, as the survivors tell their stories through animation and archival footage. Starring Monty Muir, Violett Beane, and Cole Bee Wilson.

This is brilliant storytelling in the art form of film. The survivors retell what happened while the filmmakers created an animation to bring to life what happened that day. Mixed with that is the archival footage of those watching the tragedy unfold. I’ve never seen a more brilliant retelling of a tragedy. It brings that day to life while also giving us the same feelings that those around the tower felt witnessing the terrifying event. This is one documentary that you should watch in the world of filmmaking. This is worth the watch.
