An anthology series centering on famous feuds. The first season was about the feud between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. Starring Susan Sarandon, Jessica Lange, and Judy Davis.
This season, I wasn’t as impressed as others were by this story. One, I’m not impressed with Sarandon or Lange portraying the legends Davis and Crawford. Neither one really has the persona of the greats. While the series gives us a look at how Hollywood treats older women, the overall feel of the show is the heart it has for Old Hollywood. I always wonder if feuds are more of what the press wants to portray than what is going on behind closed doors. While this show tries to highlight a feud that may or may not have been real, that doesn’t make it real. I think there was hurt and also admiration for each other that does show on the screen. This series is worth the watch.
