Not So Dumb (1930) Rated NR

A chatterbox always says and does the wrong thing, but somehow everything always turns out right. Starring Marion Davies, Elliott Nugent, and Raymond Hackett.

Dulcy is a chatterbox and offers to host a business associate of her fiances’. She tries to entertain them and give them a good weekend, but her efforts are worthless until everything she says turns out. Davies plays the chatterbox, but there are lots of times that her character is annoying. It’s sometimes hard to look past the annoyance to hear what is going on. The whole point of the film is to make Dulcy annoying and Davies does do this. I thoroughly enjoyed this comedy. It has some slapstick and one-liners that just make you chuckle. This film is worth the watch.
