Now, I’m not a huge fan of the Naked and Afraid franchise, but I am intrigued by the survival aspect of the series. I also have a nostalgic soft spot for it as my father loved the franchise. This series has an interesting premise as they need to find fresh water to drink while being shipwrecked. My worry from the beginning was how they were going to safely create a shipwreck in the middle of the night. To me, that is a big safety risk for the contestants. I hope they had safety precautions in place for that. My initial belief was that these shows wouldn’t put their contestants in real danger, and I continue to hope that is the case. The center of the show is watching the contestants try to survive a shipwreck that anyone could experience, then land on a deserted island and try to survive. There isn’t much of a game—just survival. This series is not worth the watch.
