The Last Command (1928)

Rated NR

Emil Jannings did a superb job playing a Russian general in the Bolshevik Revolution who became an extra in Hollywood. It’s no wonder that he won the Oscar. Jannings made five american films and this is the only surviving film. If you haven’t figured it out, this is a silent film. I find it always a change of pace to watch a silent film. I also know that Jannings is controversial but that shouldn’t take away from his performances. This is worth a see it.
