Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle (2009) Rated NR

Debbie Macomber's Mrs. MiracleA widower is looking for a housekeeper to help him with his twin sons. Enter Mrs. Miracle to the rescue, who not only takes the reins but does a little matchmaking on the side. Based on the book by Debbie Macomber. Starring James Van Der Beek, Erin Karpluk, Doris Roberts.

This is just your typical, single dad, Christmas movie.  The father is so overwhelmed, he doesn’t know which way is up, until Mrs. Miracle appears to get both his house and his love life in order.  I did appreciate that both of the romantic parties had a past hurt to overcome in order to look forward to a future together.  However, this film suffered from a terrible case of over-acting, especially when the estranged sisters bumped into each other.  Everyone struggled with that scene; it was painful to watch.  While this is a mildly entertaining Christmas film, I was mostly unimpressed.  It is a pass for me.
