Kissing a Fool (1998) Rated R

Max is about to marry Sam, but he is unsure of the relationship. So, he asks his best friend to seduce Sam to see if she’ll fall for him. Starring David Schwimmer, Jason Lee, Mili Avital, Bonnie Hunt, Judy Greer.

This film is billed as a romantic comedy, but it is nothing of the sort. To ask your best friend to try and make your fiancée fall in love with him is possibly the worst premise ever. I found myself cringing throughout this film as the story line played out. I know they were hoping for laughs, but I couldn’t find anything funny about a committed couple being sabotaged by one of its own partners, all in the name of love (otherwise known as suspicion). It’s obvious what the outcome will be without even watching the film, making it all the more not worth watching. This film is a pass.
