This film portrays the infamous 1969 Chappaquiddick car accident involving Ted Kennedy and Mary Jo Kopechne. Starring Jason Clarke, Kate Mara, and Ed Helms.
This film tells the facts of the story with little interpretation of the events. Of course, the events occurring between the time the two drive off and Ted Kennedy coming back to the party are still questionable. The question still remains, what really happened? At times, the film does sympathize with Kennedy, but overall, I think it gives the most exact account of the accident and death of Kopechne possible. The end of the film was interesting with real interviews of people on the street providing their reactions to the accident. This film was worth a watch.
