Christmas Lodge (2011) Rated G

Mary has fond memories of the Christmas Lodge, but when she comes back for a weekend visit, she discovers the lodge in disarray. She fights to bring it back to its original glory. Starring Erin Karpluk, Michael Shanks, and Rukiya Bernard.

This is one of those films that is overly sweet for the holiday season. Everything seems too good to be true, and everyone is overly nice. I would have liked it better if they kept the original couple together and not have them break up and of course, forces the two people together who love the lodge. It’s a story that seems more forced than realistic. I don’t know if this is attributable to the actors or the script, but it doesn’t seem like a natural story. Of course, the film does have the faith element, but it was overly done at times. It’s a sweet film but not worth a watch.
