Inside Mighty Machines (Smithsonian) Rated TV-PG

Former NASA rocket engineer Chad Zdenek takes apart some of the world’s largest machines. Starring Chad Zdenek.

Chad goes inside big machines that changed the way we live. Each episode covers a different machine; he starts with the Boeing 747, and he continues with the aircraft carrier, C-5 Galaxy, deep sea oil rig, hovercraft, and power plant. Chad goes into each one to see how they work and what makes them tick. He also examines how they are made and, when taken apart, what is reused. It is interesting to see why we needed these big machines and how we used them. This show is worth a watch.
