A detective opens a missing boy case and believes the local rancher is involved. Starring Robert Duvall, James Franco, and Darien Willardson.
This isn’t the best film. The story is intriguing, but there are continuity issues as well as plot holes, and the dialogue is stilted. The acting by Duvall, Franco, and Josh Hartnett is brilliant, but with the poor story, it still doesn’t make the film worthy. I’m a little surprised by Franco’s performance – at times, he looks out of place. However, Duvall and Hartnett seem made for the ranching lifestyle. I think this could have been a brilliant film if the supporting actors were up to snuff and if the script was worth it. The film is lacking on so many levels, making it not worth a watch.
