The Unknown (1927) Rated UR

A criminal on the run joins a circus and falls for the ringmaster’s daughter. Starring Lon Chaney, Norman Kerry, and Joan Crawford.

This is one silent film that tells a great story. It has a great plot; the criminal comes to the circus to hide out and becomes obsessed with the ringmaster’s daughter. Of course, this makes us all nervous that the story will not end happily. It’s a film that you have to watch to believe the crazy, weirdness of it, and it’ s one of the best I’ve seen. I enjoyed the acting of both Chaney and the young Joan Crawford. It’s a tragic love affair but one that is worth watching.
