A dying man transfers his consciousness into a younger body. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Natalie Martinez, and Matthew Goode.
This film has a wonderful premise but loses sight of what story it wants to tell. It starts with the older dying man coming to terms with his condition, but once he is placed in the younger body, it transforms into an action film. I think they could have stayed with the mystery/drama element with just enough action to recognize the younger self. There are also discrepancies between the two actors in creating the same mannerisms as they play the same character. The story doesn’t dive into the realm of science fiction regarding exchanging consciousness or the morality or reality of it. It’s a pretty average film that is not worth a watch.
