An unemployed visionary gets a job at a television station that becomes a success. Starring ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, Victoria Jackson, and Kevin McCarthy.
This film is quintessential Weird Al; it’s not to everyone’s sense of humor. It is an eclectic series of television classics. Yankovic does what he does best in making fun of the different series on TV. The whole film revolves around spoofs of different films and TV shows. Some of the humor worked while others fell flat. I, for one, didn’t get into it, but I can see the attraction to the film. Overall, the film has classic Yankovic humor, but at times, it lags. It’s a film that you would enjoy if you love Weird Al; for me, however, it was not worth a watch.
