Summer Villa (2016) Rated TV-G

A celebrity chef and a romance writer meet at a French villa while nursing problems. Starring Hilarie Burton, Victor Webster, and Emorphia Margaritis.

This film is one of the worst written Hallmark films. We have the two leads both struggling with their jobs when they meet at a French villa. The two each have other people circling them as romantic interest, but nothing happens. The lack of intertest means the love triangle doesn’t get a green light. Instead, we have lackluster chemistry between the two leads. I’ve always been fond of Webster in his other films; here, he’s cute, but I just don’t see him with Burton, nor do I think the writers do. When it comes to Burton, I’ve always struggled seeing her as a Hallmark leading lady. She just doesn’t come off as a girl next door. She’s more annoying in this film than she should be. This film is not worth a watch.
