Taking a Chance on Love (2009) Rated NR

A widowed sports journalist is worried about his son, while his girlfriend, who refuses to marry, is searching for the daughter she gave up. Starring Genie Francis, Ted McGinley, and Katie Boland.

This film weaves together two love stories: the parents and the kids. The thing about having two stories woven together is that neither one gets the attention it deserves. The story isn’t bad, but the characters are hard to care about. Hallmark does know how to tell a love story, but sometimes they fall flat. This is one of the flat ones. If they had focused more on one of the couples, it would have flowed better and maybe you’d care if they end up together or not. As it is, this Hallmark love story left much to be desired. This film is not worth the watch.
