I have never really thought of Will Ferrell as funny. His style has the lacing of crude humor, which doesn’t get my funny bone. This film isn’t very original; we’ve seen Ferrell in other films performing the same character. As in most of these family comedies, the characters aren’t developed and the story is not realistic. It does give a wonderful story about children not living up to their parents’ aspirations. Although I thought they did a wonderful job portraying that, the comedy was too annoying. It’s not worth the watch.
