A former police detective takes a job trailing a woman who could be disturbed. Starring James Stewart, Kim Novak, and Barbara Bel Geddes.
This film is intense. It’s one of the best films in history and one of Alfred Hitchcock’s best works. It is complex with a combination of themes: romance, thriller, and drama. The story takes you down a twisted road, leaving you unsure of where you’re going, and nothing seems to make sense until the very end. Hitchcock keeps the suspense on high throughout the film while playing with your senses and what you actually see. The pacing is brilliant as you don’t realize a whole two hours have gone by. Is it perfect? No, but it does take you on an emotional ride. It’s worth the watch.
