Don Jon (2013) Rated R

Don JonA New Jersey guy who is addicted to porn finds that true intimacy eludes him. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Tony Danza, Brie Larson

As I started watching this film, I wondered why I was watching this. Thinking that they are glorifying porn and even making fun of the Church. This film isn’t worth watching and I should have known that by the trailer. I’m not sure if this a good film for people who are addicted to porn. Porn is fake that is why he doesn’t like real women as much. It’s just like he says about the romance films…it’s all fake. So, if it’s fake than how can you experience real intimacy. If he didn’t watch porn than he would find women more fulfilling since that was so missing.

Jon and the other characters are so over the top that it I’m like who would be interested in these people. Although, I don’t think if they played it as the straight man would we find the film as interesting, maybe, maybe not. I also do feel that they left the film open-ended. Almost like they didn’t want to say that being in a committed relationship can be fulfilling. I really don’t recommend this film.
