It’s Complicated (2009) Rated R

At their son’s graduation, a divorced couple reunites, but one of them has already remarried. Starring Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, and Alec Baldwin.

This film is only complicated for the characters involved. Having been divorced for ten years, Jane and Jake Adler suddenly reignite their relationship. This film is fun to watch even though Jane and Jake are unfaithful to their significant others while engaging in an affair. Then there’s the drug use and the fact that having an affair with your ex isn’t such a good idea. Yet you find yourself pulling for the couple, hoping they can work it out. I thought they did a fabulous job toeing the line and making it funny. This isn’t one of Nancy Meyers better films, but it’s still worth a watch.
