The Age of Adaline (2015) Rated PG-13

A young woman born at the turn of the century is rendered ageless after an accident. After many years of being alone, she meets a man that complicates her life. Starring Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, and Harrison Ford.

This film is a typical ageless movie. Adaline, who from a freak accident is rendered ageless, goes on the run, only staying in one place for a year. I was excited to see this film, but it was a let down. The concept is there and Blake Lively as Adaline was brilliant. Huisman as her love interest was just as wonderful. Then there is the twist with Ford and Ellen Burstyn, which was interesting. What lacked in the film was the execution of the story. There were plot holes and storylines that didn’t quite make sense. The narration was annoying; I don’t think it was needed. The story is predictable, but the ending was the most frustrating. It was such a let down. There was nothing about the film that made it stand out other than just watching Lively. This film is not worth a watch.
